He was born in Wilson on June 22, 1922. He served in the US Air Force in WW II. He owned Richmond Electric in Ransomville for many years and retired in 1980 as the Electrical Superintendent of Lcokbourne Air Force Base in Ohio. He was a member of the American Institute of Plant Engineers, the National Campers and Hikers Association and the Ransomville Ramblers. He enjoyed camping, fishing and traveling. He was predeceased by his wife of 32 years Olive Newman Zastrow on April 7, 1976. He is survived by two children: Deborah (Jeffrey) Hubman of Bliss, NY and Douglas Zastrow of Gahanna, OH; two grandsons, Adam (Shannon) Lebeau of Fort Bragg, NC and Matthew Lebeau of Bliss, NY.
