Emmy was very active with the Women of Studio Arena Theatre in Buffalo. She worked as an EKG technician at Buffalo General Hospital and was trained to be the pioneer EKG technician and taught it in area hospitals. Emmy was also in the first Nurses Aid Class of the American Red Cross durning World War II and became a hospital liaison for the Red Cross.
