Rosario James Valvo (Ross) passed away Monday, March 21, 2005 at Douglas Memorial Hospital, Fort Erie, Ontario. Ross is the beloved husband of 61 years of Dolores Ann Valvo (Ferdinandi) and the cherished father of Wendy Ann Valvo and Richard L. Valvo (Lynda). He is the proud Papa of Amanda Hoyle (Jeremy), Daniel James (DJ) Hicks (Patti Hooper) and Dion Reinhart, and the much adored great-grandfather of Erin Mae Hoyle. Ross is survived by his dear brother Albert, sister-in-law Mary Drury and several nieces and nephews. He was 'Uncle Sugar' to his loving niece Robin Parisi, her daughters Karrie Matyjas and Becky Sandel, and many of Robin's friends. His is predeceased by his brother Russell and his sister Florence O'Sullivan. Ross is a former trustee of the Welland County Roman Catholic School Board, a former Grand Knight of the Immaculate Conception Council #3320 of the Knights of Columbus, a past Faithful Navigator of the Knights of Columbus, a former District Deputy of the Knights of Columbus and a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow. Ross retired from Provincial Gas Company and in his retirement years was a security guard with the Fort Erie Race Track.
