Wehner Sr., Allan John Age 72, of Valdosta, GA., died at his home after a lengthy illness on Tuesday, March 22, 2005, born December 11, 1932, in Amherst, NY, he was the son of the late Alexander Henry and Adelaine Katherine Klein Wehner. Mr. Wehner had lived in Valdosta for the past 20 years and was formerly of Getzville, NY, where he was a volunteer fireman in the Getzville Fire Department, was a member of the Getzville Drum Corps, the Men's Bowling League and the Men's Club at Good Shepherd Catholic Church. He embraced farming as his vocation and lent himself well as both teacher of knowledge and provider of wisdom. In his retirement he greatly enjoyed the time with his wife, Jean and being a Master Woodcrafter. He was a member of St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church. Above all he took great joy in his large, loving family and relished in their frequent family gatherings. Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Jean Wehner of Valdosta; ten children; nineteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; sisters, Marie Horlitz of Arizona, Agnes Heim and Hildre Fiegl of Amherst, N.Y.; numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Wehner was preceded in death by a daughter Mary Wehner, two sisters, Bernice Garlock and Evelyn Donner.
