residence following a long illness; wife of 42 years of Anthony A. Abramo;

Bole Jr., Albert C. "Ace"            
May 1, 2005, age 74, formerly of Hamburg, NY; devoted husband for more than 43
years of Mitzi Bole; proud father of James (Brenda Messina) and John; son of
the late Albert C. and Mary W. Bole; brother of Navy Commander (Ret.) Barbara
Bole of Florida; his stepmother Pearl Vest of Florida and her husband Robert
Vest; a sister-in-law Betty Bole of Austin; a nephew James R. Bole of Houston,
a niece Cheryl Volirakis of Houston; his longtime devoted friends Bob and Emma
Sosa and their children Camille, Anthony, Lucinda and Kenneth and many other
loving relatives. He was preceded in death by his younger brother James R.
Bole. Funeral was held on Friday, May 6, with burial in Fort Bliss National
Cemetery. Col. Bole had a distinguished military career that spanned more than
30 years. His assignments included being an advisor in Vietnam, a battalion
commander in Korea, United Nations command in Japan and chief of staff in
White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico. He retired in El Paso, Texas and was
active in the community. He graduated from Cornell University with a
bachelor's degree in agriculture and received an Army ROTC Commission.

MacFarlane, Dr. Richard D.           
Born March 23, 1930 in Niagara Falls, N.Y. Took his leave at the age of 75 in
the morning hours of May 2nd, 2005, after 16 years with a transplanted heart.
He spent his time on the beach in Florida and having fun with friends and
family in NYC. He was a distinguished educator and mentor to many. Richard was

Suddenly, April 16, 2005 in Blacksburg, VA, where he was a professor of
English at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University since 1978.
A former Depew native, Scigaj received his bachelor's from Canisius College in
1967, and master's and Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in
1968 and 1977, respectively. A scholar of contemporary poetry, Scigaj wrote
with passion about the great eco-poets and dedicated himself to protecting the
beauty of the natural world. Scigaj is survived by his son, James L. Scigaj,
his sisters, Christine (Dr. Alberto) Gonzalez, Kathleen (Mario) Anibaldi,
Nancy (Gordon) Soehnlein; his brothers, David Scigaj, Kenneth (Theresa)
Scigaj, Lawrence (Danna) Scigaj; and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial
Service will be held at Christ the King Chapel at Canisius College on

(Michael) Cronmiller. Brother of Adeline Zak and the late John, Lorraine Zak
and Mildred Szematowicz. Also survived by 17 grand and four
