Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery, Lackawanna. Born in Yauco, Puerto Rico, Mrs. Alvarez was a senior companion at West Seneca Developmental Center for fifteen years. She lived in God's Word in sharing and helping others. Active in her Church, she was a eucharistic minister, a member of the choir and a member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. She was a sponsor of children in need and a translator for refugees and helped to place them. She was active in the Mexican Club, where her husband was one of the founders. Morquecho, Henry Henry Morquecho, a treasured husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2005, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 75. A Korean War veteran, Henry was a Social Worker for many years at Catholic Charities of Buffalo and People, Inc. Known for his good heart, good humor and attitude, Henry is survived by his wife; Diane Greenaway, his three daughters; Renee (Rob) Thorsen, Lise (John) Leahy, Gabrielle Morquecho, and his grandchildren; Jessica and Trenton Thorsen, and Patrick and Michael Leahy.
