"Buck" Age 79, Miamisburg, formerly of Buffalo, NY, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2005 at Hospice of Dayton after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born March 28, 1926 in Buffalo to Louis F. and Cornelia (Polo) Dellapenta. Preceded in death by parents; three brothers, Pasquale, Richard and Robert, and infant daughter. Survived by loving wife of 52 years, Angela E. (Bilotto) Dellapenta; daughter, Deborah Saxon of Elmira, NY; son, Lou (Michele) Dellapenta, of Miamisburg; grandson, Christopher Seal, and great-grandsons, Jonathan and Nicholas of Buffalo; uncle Arthur Polo of FL, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other family members including his best-buddy, Greyson and his special Dayton-Mall breakfast friends. Buck proudly served this country in WWII as a Navy Veteran Gunner's Mate aboard several LCI carriers involved in numerous missions in the South Pacific. He was a life member of the USS LCI National Assn., and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 375, Buffalo, NY Chapter (Buffalo, NY). He retired in 1985 as a truck driver from Inland Express, Buffalo, NY and went on to found and serve as president of the Western New York Retiree Chapter of Teamsters. Buck was a loving husband, father and friend to all who knew and loved him. He will be missed and fondly remembered as a spirited and generous man who lived his life to the fullest.
