Kimmel, Marjorie J. "Hutch" A former resident of the Town of Tonawanda, died Tuesday in her daughter's home in Scotia, after a brief illness. She was 77. Born Marjorie Hutcheson in Dobbs Ferry, she attended schools in Scarsdale and was a graduate of the former Buffalo State Teachers College. After leaving this area in 1967, Mrs. Kimmel also had lived in Texas before moving to Clifton Park. She retired as a social worker from the Saratoga County Child Health Assistance Program. She was an active member of the Shenendehowa United Methodist Church and participated in their Sacred Journeys Group. She was a member of the Over the Speed Limit group and provided her talents doing much of the garden work at church. Survivors include two daughters, Florence McClure, of Scotia and Margaret Hrubenak, of Malta, NY; two sons, Michael, of Ashburn, VA and David, of Clifton Park; three sisters, Ruth Runge, of Temple, NH, Betty Wolfe, of Cleveland, OH and Sally Lincoln, of Richardson, Texas; six grandchildren; and one great-grandfather. A graduate of South park high School and Bryant and Stratton Business Institute, Joan served as a Spar in the US Coast Guard durning World War II. She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Joseph R. Schwenk.
