METZ
Jacob Metz 1832-1924
Caroline his wife 1839-1919

The John and Eva Catarina Lang Metz family (with 9 children) came to the US 
from Blakenloch, Germany in 1832 (when their son Jacob was only 3) and settled 
in Eden, NY, 1st in a log cabin and then on Shadagee Rd.  Jacob Metz and his 
wife Caroline Erb (from Buffalo, NY) raised 9 children in this house on a 
sprawling farm which produced all varieties of fruits and vegetables.
