I have a handwritten journal in which my grandfather, Clarence Charles North, entered family
history information. The first entry is for Aaron North, born in 1764, died Dec. 14, 1855, aged
91 years. He was the father of Daniel North according to the journal. I note that there is a
Colonel Aaron North buried in the Brookfield Cemetary. His wife, Zilla, died March 23, 1855 at
the age of 88. Their daughter, Jane Ann, died Aug. 28, 1840, at age 31. Daniel North died Oct.
1, 1872 at the age of 76. His wife, Polly, died Oct. 6, 1880, at age 84. Charles North, son of
Daniel, was born in 1825. He died Nov. 7, 1886, at age 61. Charles went to California to dig
for gold in 1851 (?) and I have letters he wrote to Daniel from that State. I have provided the
Church of Later Day Saints with copies of them. The journal notes that Charles had a sister
named Henryetta who died in 1898 at age 63. Charles North probably returned to Essex for my
grandfather was born in Essex in 1862. Clarence Charles North was born March 26, 1862 to
Charles and Augusta (Buck) North at the family home in Essex County, New York according to his
obituary. He left Essex in 1884 at age 21 and farmed in Prescott, Washington State. He married
Emma J. McAboy and they had four children. Florence, Ernest, Gladys and Ward. Ward is still
living in Plains, Montana and looking forward to his 95th birthday. I hope the above may be
helpful to you and others and would be glad to supply further information if I have same. I
also would appreciate any info concerning the birthplace of Aaron North, as he is the last of
