I Benjamin Leonard Stiles of the town of Crown Point, County of Essex, State of New York being of sound mind and memory do make ordain publish and declare this to be my last Will & Testament that is to say: First. After all my lawful debts are paid and discharged I give devise and bequeath to my nephew Solou Chase (later changed be heir of his brother Samuel 29 March 1895) the sum of three hundred dollars and to my nephew Samuel Chase the sum of two hundred dollars, the amount of a certain Boud of the Vermont Investment and Garantee Company, which I hold and in case of the decease of either the said Solou Chase or Samuel Chase before my decease the whole amount be paid to the survivor. Second: I give devise and bequeath to the House for the Friendless at Plattsburgh in the State of New York the sum of fifty dollars. Thirdly I give devise and bequeath to the 1st Methodist Episcopal Church Sabbatti's School of Crown Point NY the sum of fifty dollars. Fourth: I give devise and bequeath to the Trustees of the First Methodist Episcopal Church of Crown Point in the State of New York the sum of Two hundres dollars for the use and benefit of said Church. Fifth: I give devise and bequeath to my brother's children, Lillian Stiles and Jennie Stiles, the sum of twenty-five dollars each, also five dollars to my brother Pollus A.E.Stiles. Sixth: I give devise and bequeath to my two nieces by marriage, Aysa L. Corey, Betsey E. Taylor and Mary Wolcott all my household goods not otherwise disposed of by me in my life time to be devided equally share and share alike. Likewise I make constitute and appoint John E. Burdick of the town of Crown Point Essex County and State of New York to be execuetor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made. No indication of a wife or children of Stiles'own so this would only be of genealogical interest to the Chases, Taylors Coreys and Wolcotts, as mentioned. There is no mention of marriages for his nieces Lillian Stiles and Jennie Stiles,(it appears the)daughters of his brother Pollus however they still might have married.
