The Instruction of this Academy, apart from the Ornamental Branches, is intended to be of the most comprehensive kind, embracing the Latin and Greek languages, the Higher Mathematics, the Natural Sciences, Intellectual and Moral Philosophy, Rhetoric, Logic and English Literature; the whole forming a carefully Adjusted curriculum of three years. Students who shall satisfactorily complete this course will be entitled to a Diploma. The instruction in French, German, Music and Drawing—important branches in a finished education—will be efficient and complete. The coursw in the Common School Department has been most carefully prepared, with the view of furnishing to every pupil therein a thorough “Common School Education." The schools in this Department train the pupil, either for the active pursuits of business, or for the more advanced studies of the Academic Department. This course is free to pupils residing in the village school district. TUITION, BOARD, &c. Common English, in the 7th and 8th Grades, per term, $6 00 Higher English per term, 7 00 Ancient Languages, per term, 8 00 French, German and Drawing, each, per term, 3 00 Instrumental Music, per term, 8 00 Pupils not residing in the village are admitted to the lower Grades of the Common School Department, on the following terms: To the 5th and 6th Grades, per term, $5 00 To the 4th Grade, per term, 4 00 To the Primary Schools, per term, 3 00 All bills are payable at the middle of the term. Board and washing can be obtained in respectable private families, at a convenient distance from the schools, for from $3.50 to $4.00 per week.
