Also with trains on St. Lawrence and Ottawa Railway for Ottawa; and with trains on Rome, Watertown and Ogdensburgh Railway for Watertown, Rome, and the West; also with Steamers of Northern Transportation Company, running through from Ogdensburgh to Cleveland, Toledo, Detroit, Milwaukee, and Chicago, without change, touching at intermediate ports, thus offering unequaled facilities for parties moving to the Great West. Also connecting at Ogdensburgh with Lake Ontario Steamers for Oswego, Charlotte, Lewiston, and Niagara Falls, passing through the far-famed Thousand Islands of the River St Lawrence, together with the Steamers from Ogdensburgh to Montreal and Quebec, passing down the Rapids of the St. Lawrence in their course. AT POTSDAM JUNCTION, trains connect with Rome, Watertown and Ogdensburgh Railway for Potsdam, Canton, Watertown, &c.; also with Stages for Massena Springs. AT MOOER'S JUNCTION, trains connect with Pittsburgh and Montreal Railway for Plattsburgh; thence by Lake Champlain Steamers for Burlington, Ticonderoga, Lake George, Whitehall, Saratoga, Troy, Albany, &c.; also by rail from Burlington for East and South. AT ROUSE'S POINT, trains connect with Vermont Central Railway for Burlington, White River Junction, White Mountains, Bellows Falls, Concord, Manchester, Fitchburg, Lowell, Lawrence, Portland, Boston, Worcester, Springfield, Hartford, and New York; and via Rutland and Burlington Railway, from Burlington to Rutland, Bellows Falls, Fitchburg and Boston; and south to Troy, Albany and New York. Also at Rouse’s Point with trains on Montreal and Champlain Railway for Montreal, &c. The 0. & L. C. Railroad Company having added to their rolling stock 290 new Sixteen-Wheel Box Cars, and five of the best Locomotives of first class power, expressly for freighting purposes, stand second to none as regards facility for transporting local and through freights, at rates lower than by any other through Line. The direct route from Boston, Portland, and all Eastern Cities, connecting with the celebrated Northern Transportation Company, with their first class Daily Line of Propellers, to all points in the Great Western World, gives to this Line an advantage not possessed by any other, and the fact that only one trans-shipment is required—namely: from Car to Propeller for a line extending 4.000 miles to the extreme point of "Lake Superior," recommends this Line with none to compete. They have also built at Ogdensburgh a new and spacious Elevator, capable of storing 1,000,000 bushels of grain, which, with their 800 Freight Cars, 20 Engines, and full equipment of Passenger Cars, affords them unequaled facilities for doing the freight and passenger business of this portion of the Country.
