Second, I give and bequeath to my son Wallace the farm known as the McLaughlin place according to the terms of a contract entered into between said Wallace and said Sarah McLaughlin; Third, I give and bequeath to my son Ziba the sum of $700.00; but any payments made to said Ziba previous to my death, from my property, shall be deducted from said $700.00; Fourth, I give and bequeath to my daughter Nettie the sum of $50.00; Fifth, I give and bequeath to my daughter Selah the sum of $50.00; Sixth, I give and bequeath to my daughters Rebecca (LaFountain), Bertha (Covil), and Ella (Smith), the rest, residue and remainder of my estate, in equal shares to each one of these three daughters, but if a certain note now owing me by my daughter Rebecca (LaFountain) be not paid prior to my decease, then the amount due on said note shall be deducted from the share of said Rebecca (LaFountain) and given to said Bertha (Covil) and Ella (Smith), equally to each; and I expressly provide herein that the bequest herein made to said Rebecca (LaFountain), my daughter, shall be null and void, and the share herein given to her shall go to the other two daughters Bertha (Covil) and Ella (Smith) in the event that a certain account said to be claimed by William LaFountain, (husband of Rebecca LaFountain), is ever presented against me or my estate, or any collection of same is attempted, such account being wholly unjust and without foundation. Furthermore, I hereby authorize and empower my executor to sell and dispose of such part of my real estate as may be necessary to fulfill the bequests and terms of this, my Last Will and Testament, using his own judgment and discretion in said matter. Lastly, I hereby appoint Daniel C. Randall, of Tupper Lake, N.Y., executor of this my Last Will and Testament: hereby revoking all former wills by me made. Codicil to Will I, Sarah McLaughlin, of Tupper Lake, N.Y., do make this codicil to my Last Will and Testament, in words as follows: Whereas, in and by my said Last Will and Testament, dated on or about January 10, 1906, I did, by the second item thereof, give, devise and bequeath to my son Wallace the farm known as the McLaughlin farm and place, consisting of parts of lots 113 and 119 in Twp. 22, Macomb's Purchase, Great Tract One, Franklin County, N.Y., according to the terms of a contract entered into between said Wallace McLaughlin and myself, and whereas, the said contract has been abrogated and annulled, and since the decease of the said Wallace McLaughlin I have provided for his children by paying the sum of $2000.00 for their benefit, such sum to be in lieu of and instead of any right, title or interest which they might or could have in my estate by virtue of relationship or otherwise, I do therefore hereby expressly revoke the said second item of said Will numbered "second", having sold the said farm property in order to secure the money to advance the children of said McLaughlin, (Wallace), the said sum of $2000, which said sum is to be in full of their share and interest in my estate. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 19th day of January 1909. Sarah McLaughlin (L.S.) Signed, published and declared by the said Sarah McLaughlin to be her codicil to her Last Will and Testament in presence of us who have signed the same as witness in her presence, at her request, and in the presence of each other.
