I, Henry Cline, of the town of Oppenheim, County of Montgomery, State of New York being weak in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following (that is to say) First, my will and request is that my personal property (except what is necessary for the support of the family) be sold to discharge my debts. Secondly, I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Sarah the use of the farm I now possess sufficient for her support during her natural life or as long as she shall remain my widow or until my son Henry shall arrive at the years of twenty one. I also give and bequeath unto my eldest son Epurtus(Ebenezer?) immediately after my decease the horse known by the name of the Brady Horse and one mare known by the name of the Bradt Mare with the conditions of his paying Abraham G. Bradt the sum of nine dollars likewise a small bill at Cooks the tavern keeper one other bill at Cousolls further my will is that my sons Epurtus have one pair of two year old steers one cow and calf one wagon and right-sheep. I also give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary Oatman, a married woman, the sum of twenty five dollars to be paid to her at the expiration of ten years. I also give and bequeath unto my daughter Elisa Gill, a married woman, the sum of twenty dollars to be paid at the expiration of ten years. I also give and bequeath unto my daughter Happy, a single woman, the sum of thirty dollars to be paid at the time when my son Henry arrives at the age of twenty five years, likewise one feather bed at any time when she may call for it. I also give and bequeath unto my daughter Phebe Anne the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars with the conditions of her, the said Phebe Anne, maintaining and supporting my daughter Jane during her natural life and if the said Phebe Anne neglects or refuses so to do then my will is that she have the sum of thirty dollars only and that to be paid at the expiration of ten years and then my sons Henry and John to maintain my daughter Jane. My will and request further is that at the time my son Henry arrives at the age of twenty one years that he have full possess of the farm I now live on and then to maintain and provide for the minor children until they shall arrive at lawful age and to maintain and provide for my wife Sarah during her widowhood and further at the time my son John arrives at the age of twenty one years then the farm to be divided equally between them as their own property together with farming utensils, further that it shall be discretionary with my wife Sarah to dispose of the household furniture as she may think proper after my personal charges and debts are paid, and further on conditions my son Epurtus shall deed unto my sons Henry and John fifteen acres of Colden land bought of mass he shall be entitled to the above legacy otherwise not. Lastly I hereby appoint Pete Cline and Daniel Grule my executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the fifth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty.
