I John Cool of the town of Oppenheim County of Montgomery and the state of New York yeoman being weak in body but of a sound disposing mind and memory thanks be given to God for the same considering the mortality of the body and knowing that is it appointed for all purposes to die. I do make and publish this my last will and testament, as touching such worldly estate where with hath the pleased God to help me with in this life. I give device and dispose of the same in the following manner and form my will that my just debts be collected and paid out by the executors hereinafter mentioned. I give and bequeath unto my son John one note bearing date with the 16th day of January 1821 to the amount of five pounds ten shillings Halifax currency with interest from the date signed by Benjamin Cool. I give and bequeath unto my daughter Easther one cow that is now in the hands of my son in law Andrew Hellenbott. I give and bequeath unto my son Benjamin one note of about twenty dollars payable in stock given from Benjamin Cool to Henry Cool as bearer and now in the hands of Andrew Hellenbott. I also give and bequeath unto my son Jonathan one note against Benjamin Cool bearing date with the 13th day of February 1820 to the amount of fifteen dollars. It is my will and pleasure that my beloved wife Elizabeth is to have the household furniture at her disposal and it is my will and pleasure that my wife shall have the control of the farm the two old horses, the two young horses, the farming utensils, six sheep, one old cow, one young cow, two hogs after my decease and the remainder of all the personal property to be divided to my sons Daniel, William, Henry and David each an equal proportion to be divided within three months after my decease. My will that my just debts and funeral charges be paid out of the debts due me and to estate and discharged by my executor hereafter mentioned, finally and lastly I do make ordain constitute and appoint my wife Elizabeth Cool and my son Daniel J. Cool and my son William Cool executors of my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills and testaments by me made and witnessed whereof I the said John Cool have here wrote set my hand and fixed my seal this 24th day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred twenty two signed sealed published and delivered by the above named John Cool to be his last will and testament in the presents of us who have hereunto set our names as witnesses of the testator. his John x Cool Mark Isaiah Neple George H.
