Baker, will not occasion great surprise in this community where the serious nature of her illness has been known for some time, although many hearts will be saddened by the event, which, however much anticipated is none the less hard to bear. Mrs. Baker was born in Chautauqua county, this State, November 18th, 1832, but with her parents she removed to Caledonia, Livingston county, while yet an infant. She was married to Dr. Baker in March, 1857, and soon after came to Batavia where she has continued to reside, with the exception of about four years spent in Dover, Delaware. Mrs. Baker, whose maiden name was Phoebe Louisa Weeks, was a true and loving wife and mother, and moreover, being a devoted Christian, bearing her long and painful illness with fortitude, awaiting with resignation the ultimate end which was to relieve her sufferings. Additional Comments: Phoebe Louisa Weeks was the second wife of three of Dr. John F. Baker
