Death resulted from apoplexy. Mr. Darby had been in poor health for the past four years and during the past year his health had gradually failed. He was born in the town of LeRoy in 1836 and had lived on the farm where his death occurred over 60 years. About 46 years ago he was united in marriage to Miss Margaret Maloney of LeRoy who with the following children survives him: John of Seneca Falls, Mrs. Charles Cutcliffe of East Bethany, Miss Anna Darby and George Darby of LeRoy and Mrs. Leary of Cleveland. Mr. Darby was a communicant of St. Peter's church. The funeral was held on Monday morning at 9 o'clock from St. Peter's church and the burial was made in St. Francis cemetery.
