Book of LeRoy Obituaries, Richmond Memorial Library, Batavia, NY 1931
	LeRoy, Dec. 28. - John D. Darby of the West Main street road died at 
6:45 o'clock last evening at the Iola sanitarium, near Rochester, where he had 
been a patient for the past three months.  He was born in Brockport, August 14, 
1885, a son of Thomas and Mary Darby, and had always lived there until about 
three years ago when he purchased the former Holmes farm on the West Main 
street road.
	Mr. Darby was united in marriage January 16, 1916, to Jane McCormick of 
Riga, who survives with four sons, John, Paul, Vincent and Patrick Darby, and 
three daughters, Mary Jane, Katherine and Bernadette Darby, two sisters, Mrs 
Joseph Bassett of Red Creek, and Miss Katherine Darby of Brockport and three 
brothers, Joseph and Michael of Bergen and Thomas Darby of Brockport.
	Funeral services will be held at St. Peter's Church at 9 o'clock 
Wednesday morning.  Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery.
