Rogers, at his home on St. Mark's St, from an attack of paralysis. Mr. Rogers was for many years one of the prominent business men of LeRoy, being engaged in several pursuits, including the produce, hardware and meat business. He was also a contractor and builder being associated with Sherman Ward at one time. Mr. Rogers was born at Lynn, Conn. in 1818 and removed to western New York about the year 1835, settling at Scottsville, coming to LeRoy a few years later. In 1848 he was married to Mary Jane Webb, who with two sons, C.B. and F.C. Rogers survive him. The funeral was held from his late home monday afternoon. Rev. Pierre Cushing officiating. The following were bearers: John Burden, S. F. Curtiss, N. B. Keeney, N. Sherwood, S. T. Howard and Perry Randall.
