Mr. Shirley died at his home on North street at 4:45 o'clock yesterday afternoon. He had been ill since Friday, congestion of the lungs following influenza. He was born in the town of LeRoy on May 22, 1884, being a son of the later Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Shirley, and had always lived here. He was a carpenter by trade and a member of St. Peter's church and the Holy Name Society. He is survived by two brothers and six sisters, John of Buffalo, Mrs. Louise Powers of Geneseo, Mrs. Anna Palmer and Miss Genevieve Shirley, both of Rochester, Mrs. Mary Rider, Miss Nellie Shirley, Mrs. Emma Buckley and Charles, all of Le Roy.
