Last Will and Testament of Joshua Bailey

I, Joshua Bailey of Darien in the County of Genesee and the State of New York,
being of sound mind and memory, do make public and declare this my last will
and testament, in the manner following:

I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth, the wife of William Sanborn,
Cynthia, wife of Coddington Billings, and Ellen P. wife of Joseph Shephard
(sic) the sum of five dollars each, to be paid within one year after my
decease.

I give, dives and bequeath unto my wife Betsey the entire management,
occupancy, rents, issues, and profits of the residue of my estate, real,
personal, and mixed, for her support and maintenance for and during the term
of her natural life; and from and after the decease of my said wife, I give
bequeath and devise the same, to my other daughter Sophronia P. her heirs and
assigns forever.

I hereby appoint my son-in-law William Sanborn, and my said daughter Sophronia
P. executor and executrix of this my last will and testament.  In witness
whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this fourteenth day of September
in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and sixty three.

The above instrument was at the hand thereof, signed, sealed, published, and
declared by the said Joshua Bailey as and for his last will and testament, in
the presence of and, who at his request and in the presence of each other have
subscribed our names as witnesses.

Notes:  Joshua Bailey (1783-1874) was the son of Saxton Bailey.  His wife
Betsey was Elizabeth Durkee.
