Beckwith, Clinton, Herkimer, was born in Herkimer, where he has always lived.  
His business has been contracting, and he is one of the heaviest operators in 
this part of the State, having completed many notable pieces of work.  He is 
also prominent in the Democratic party, which has nominated him several times 
for local and State positions.  Mr. Beckwith is full of enterprise, and is 
possessed of much ability.
