March 27, 1883, he married Mrs. Elmira Baum, one of the wealthy women of Schuyler. The family consists of Horatio R., for two years principal of the Richville Union School, St. Lawrence county, Byron H., and Ida Baum. Another daughter is Mrs. Chas. A. Cramer. The farm comprises 210 acres and a dairy of thirty-five cows, with fine substantial buildings.
