His father, Daniel B., was also a native of Schuyler, and his grandfather came from Germany and took an active part in the War of the Revolution about Fort Schuyler. September 27, 1838, Mr. Bridenbecker married Caroline Pruyn, and they had three children: Mrs. Dr. E. W. Raynor and Mrs. George W. Richardson, and one son, Ezra D., who died September 19, 1851. He married second, in 1853, Ann M. Young. Mr. Bridenbecker was in the militia under General Spinner, with rank of lieutenant-colonel.
