Brown (son of Darius), who was born in the same town October 6, 1807; he was a farmer and a preacher, being a Methodist minister and preaching for fifty years. He died in his native town July 21, 1887. Darius Brown, a brother of Horace, was a soldier in the War of the Rebellion. He died May 10, 1864, aged twenty-nine years. His life was lost at Spottsylvania, his body not being recovered. Another brother, Burton, served in the war, was honorably discharged on account of ill health, and died about a year later.
