He was born in the house in which he now lives, July 15, 1857. He married Lillie M. Day of Frankfort and they have one child, Earl W. Arthur T. Brown, is a member of Sauquoit Lodge, No. 150, F. & A.M.; of the North Litchfield Grange, and the First Baptist church of Litchfield. For two years was superintendent of the Utica Dairly Farm. His father was Emerson, and he was a son of Thomas Brown, a native of Connecticut, who settled his farm about 1791, the deed being in the possession of Arthur T. Brown.
