Author: Hardin & Willard

Burch, C.B., German Flats, was born in Otsego county December 7, 1834.  His 
father was Orlo Burch.  C.B. Burch was first engaged as a clerk and then in 
farming.  He came to Ilion in 1865 and worked in the armory for ten years.  In 
1884 he established his present business.  Mr. Burch is a Republican and a 
member of the A. O. U. W.  In June, 1863, he married Miss Harriet A. Ross, and 
they have five children, three sons and two daughters; Seymour C., W.W., and 
A. W., are the sons.
