Author: Hardin & Willard

Burns, M., German Flats, was born in Fairfield September 20, 1868.  After 
living on his father's farm at Shell's Bush for some time he came to Mohawk 
and spent seven years in the livery business there.  He then came to Ilion and 
bought out the leading livery stable in 1892, which he now conducts.  He is an 
active Democrat.
