Author: Hardin & Willard

Burton, David, German Flats, was born in Deerfield, October 12, 1811, and was 
a farmer all his life, till he retired a few years ago.  He lived forty years 
in Frankfort.  His father was Nathan Burton.  In 1841 Mr. Burton married 
Rosina Whitney, and has one son, Nathan.  His wife died about forty years 
ago.  Mr. Burton is one of the sterling old men of Herkimer county and holds 
the highest esteem and fullest confidence of all classes.
