Author: Hardin & Willard

Coleman, F. W., German Flats, was born in London, March 7, 1850, and came to 
America in 1869.  He has always been in the carriage trade in this country.  
The firm of Garlick & Coleman was formed in 1873, and in 1877 was succeeded by 
F. Coleman & Company.  In 1889 the Coleman Carriage Company was formed with 
Mr. Coleman as manager.  He is an active business man and a member of the 
Masonic order and the A.O.U.W.  In 1881 he married Miss Susan Oram and they 
have a family of eight children.
