Cooper, Charles F., is one of the prominent farmers of Litchfield, owning a 
dairy and grain farm of 100 acres of land.  He was born at Norwich Corners, 
January 20, 1834, a son of William Cooper, who was constable and collector of 
the town of Litchfield for many years, who was a son of James Cooper.  Charles 
F. Cooper married Mary A Smithson, a daughter of Milton Smithson, of Sawquoit, 
Oneida county.  They have three children, Charles Henry, Clarence Edmond and 
Earl.
