He married Amy, daughter of Hawkins Bennett, who was among the first settlers of this town. George H. Davis married Harriet M., daughter of Stephen Howland, both natives of Rhode Island. Mrs. Davis died September 26, 1888, and he married second Ruth, widow of Ira Dayger. She is a daughter of Stephen Howland and a sister of Judge Howland, of Auburn.
