His ancestors located here early in the sixteenth century adn participated in the Revolutionary War. William H. Davy received a good education and has been engaged in farming all his life. He owns 143 acres of fine dairy farm land, located between Davy's Corners and Newville. He married Libbie A. Klock; they have two children, both sons. He has served as commissioner of highways, etc., upon the Republican ticket, is a member of the Grange and is a thoroughly representative farmer of this county.
