He received his preliminary education in the Little Falls Academy, and was graduated from Dartmouth Medical College in 1889. He has since practiced medicine in Little Falls. Dr. Douglas is of Scotch extraction. His father, Andrew Douglas, originally came from Scotland, and has been for many years identified with the knit goods industries in Little Falls and Ilion. Dr. Douglas is a prominent member of the Royal Arcanum, Elks, Red Men, Odd Fellows, and other leading social organizations. He is at present coroner of Herkimer county.
