He has resided on his present place for nine years. In 1873 he married Adeline Todd. His father and mother both came from England. Mr. Fields is an active and influential Democrat, and was elected supervisor of Fairfield in the spring of 1892. He was assessor when living in Newport, and is a member of the grange and Royal Arcanum.
