Author: Hardin & Willard

Folnsbee, William, Norway, was born in Canada in May, 1837. His parents were
Thadeus and Maria Folnsbee, natives of Scoharie county, N. Y., to whom seven 
children were born. When a young man Mr. Folnsbee went to Canada. He returned 
to New York, where he married. Then again he spent several years in Canada, 
and then returned to Scoharie county.  He finally moved to Delaware county, 
N. Y., where he died in 1891. His wife still resides in Delaware county. 
William Folnsbee was reared on a farm, and received a common school 
education.   In 1860 he married Elizabeth Newman, a native of Bellinger, 
Oneida county. N. Y., born in 1838. She was a daughter of Isaac and Mary 
(Bellinger) Newman, who reared nine children. Mr. Folnsbee and wife have had 
five children: Charles, Ellen (deceased), William, Jessie, and John. He is a 
tanner and farmer, a Republican in politics, and he and his wife are members 
of the Methodist Church.
