Author: Hardin & Willard

Ford, James W., Fairfield, is a native of Fairfield and was born June 3, 
1836.  He has been a farmer all his life, and owns two fine dairy farms of 128 
and 164 acres, upon which he has a herd of seventy milch cows.  Mr. Ford's 
grandfather came here from Green River, Conn., about 107 years ago.  Mr. Ford 
married Miss Sarah A. Ives in 1861, and they have a family of one son and 
three daughters, William, Mrs. Truman Cole, Fannie S., and Mabel H.  Mr. Ford 
is a Republican in politics, and is recognized as a leading man in every way 
in this part of the county.
