Author: Hardin & Willard

Gettley, John, German Flats, is a native of Germany and came to America in 
1854.  He was a painter by trade, but went into the plumbing business two 
years ago, in the firm of Metsger & Gettley.  Mr. Gettley is a master Mason, a 
member of the Royal Arcanum and is a Republican.  In 1861 he married Miss Mary 
A. Metsger and they have one daughter, Rachael B.
