He was principal of the Union school at Caledonia, N.Y., one year and of the academy at Avon Springs, N.Y., two years. He became a student in the office of Dr. E.M. Moore, of Rochester, N.Y., in 1878, graduated from the Medical department of Columbia College in New York city in 1881, and commenced the practice of his profession here in the same year. He is present city physician and has served several times as city health officer. He is a member of the American Medical Association, a fellow of the New York State Medical Association and a member of the Herkimer County Medical Society. He married Miss Margaret C. Milne, of Orleans county, N.Y., in November, 1881. Dr. Glidden conducts an extensive practice here.
