Author: Hardin & Willard

Hoke, Charles D., Danube, was born in Danube in 1854. He was reared on a farm,
and before his death his father purchased a farm of about fifty acres, which 
he presented to Charles, and upon which the latter now lives. This place is 
adjacent to Newville.   Chas. Hoke married Catharine Matice.   They have no 
children.
