He is a son of William Holcomb, who was given this farm by his grandfather. It is a part of the old original farm first settled by Selah Holcomb, in 1791. William Holcomb was a son of Alburn, who was a son of Selah, who had two children: Alburn and Sally Crosby. Alburn had four children: Mrs. Pamelia Wright, William, Albert and Irving. William had two children: William L. and Edward B., who married Mary E. Crist, and they have two children: Ernest Selah, and Edith May. Mrs. Mary E. Holcomb was a daughter of H. H.
