Author: Hardin & Willard

Ives, J.H., Little Falls, is a native of Salisbury and early in life embarked 
in active business operations among the capitalists of this part of New York 
State.  He deals extensively in lumber and cheese, owning ten farms and having 
a large interest in many cheese factories in Herkimer and has in many ways 
prominently identified himself with the best interests of the county.  Mr. 
Ives is a director of the Little Falls National bank and was high sheriff of 
the county in 1876.
