V., Schuyler, is a native of Schuyler, where he lived until recently, and where he still owns his farm. He was born November 25, 1845. His father was Thomas Minott, and his grandfather, A. Wood Minott, was one of the early settlers of this locality, coming from New England. In 1865 Mr. Minott married Sarah M. Lewis, and they have two daughters. November 26, 1863, Mr. Minott enlisted in Company L, Second N. Y. Heavy Artillery, and served to the close of the war. participating in many battles, and being wounded at Petersburg. He was supervisor of Schuyler in 1884 and 1885, and has filled many other important offices.
