He has been a farmer all his life, and has been twenty-five years on his present place. He owns 275 acres, and milks thirty-two cows. His father was a son of Dr. Wm, Petrie, of Revolutionary fame. In 1852 Mr. Petrie married Miss Jemima Woliver, and they have two sons, Oliver and Henry. Oliver married Miss Lillie Crill. Mr. Petrie is a member of the Grange, and has been assessor three years. Dr. Wm. Petrie was in the Prussian army under Frederick the Great.
