Author: Hardin & Willard

Rising, James G., Litchfield, a farmer, was born in this town, and married Emma
Gallup. They have one daughter, Julia, who married Frank Woodbury, and has a
daughter. Nina. James G. is a son of Moses and Polly Hewett Rising. There are 
five of the children now living, all farmers: Lovina, Mary, William, James G. 
and Milo M.  Moses was a son of Abner Rising, a native of Massachusetts, one 
of the first settlers of Litchfield. lie married Abigail Devotion; they had 
seven children: Abner,jr., Oliver, Moses, Harry, Desire, Rowena. and Abigail. 
Mrs. Emma Rising isa daughter of Daniel and Ama Gallup.
