He worked in the armory for over twenty years, but is now proprietor of a grocery and confectionery store. He takes an active interest in politics, and was chief of police for four years; was also on the force in Utica. He is a Republican in politics, and an Odd Fellow. Mr. Ruddy has several times held positions on the town committee.
