J., of Little Falls, is a native of this town and has lived here all his life. He was a farmer's son. Thirteen years ago he and his brother, William H., began business together and the partnership lasted eight years. Five years ago they dissolved and each has conducted a business of his own since. He is a Republican in politics and is a prominent Mason belonging to the Commandery. His family have lived in this part for several generations and his great-grandfather took part in the Revolution. In 1890 he married Ida Uhle and both are adherents of the Universalist church.
