Smith, R.H., Schuyler, supervisor of Schuyler, is a native of this town, born 
April 6, 1850.  In 1874 he married Lida Faulkern. He was elected supervisor of 
the town in February, 1892.  He had always been an active Republican and a 
delegate to conventions, and has been assessor of the town.  His father, 
Patrick M. Smith, was also a native of Schuyler.  The great-grandfather came 
from Chatham in 1765.
