A., Middleville, was born in Somerset, Pa., September 4, 1855, moved to Illinois in the spring of 1864, and resided west until 1880, when he came to New York State and to Herkimer county in 1882, where he has resided ever since, with the exception of two years spent in Albany and Montgomery counties. Mr. Snyder commenced working in the knitting-mill in Illinois at the age of thirteen, has followed the business ever since, and is now the superintendent of the Nelson Mill at this place. October 24, 1889, he married Flora M. Casler of Little Falls, and they have one child, Moldred Eleanor, born October 15, 1891, at Middleville.
